HOW DO I RESERVE A MEETING ROOM?
You must be a member in order to use our meeting rooms. Please email email@example.com to schedule. The price of the room depends on the room you choose. Reservations are based upon availability.
WHO ARE THE MENTORS AND WHAT SUPPORT DO THEY GIVE ME AS A MEMBER?
Mentors are skilled professionals in the workplace who volunteer their time to help entrepreneurs. As a member of the EC, you get access to the mentor directory. Mentors fall into 4 categories as Startup Experts, Industry Experts, Knowledge Experts and Launch Experts. Mentor Directory is located on your member portal.
How do I get involved as a Mentor?
Contact our Mentor Coordinator. The process involves submitting an application, short bio, and NDA followed by a training session and shadowing sessions.
What qualifications are there?
We welcome all individuals with business experience who want to give back to the community. Contact us to see where you could fit in best as a mentor.
What is the time commitment?
Mentors must be able to set aside a minimum of one 4-hour afternoon time slot per month to participate. You can get as involved as you want after that, and we encourage you to do so.
Is there pay compensation?
No. Mentoring is volunteer based and a great way for you to give back to the Nashville community!
Do you have to be a member of the EC to be a mentor?
Is there training involved?
Yes. Training consists of a half-day session led the EC Mentor Coordinator. Topics include how to effectively run meetings, how to effectively take notes, and other important aspects to the life of a mentor. After training, you will then schedule times to sit in and shadow EC Master Mentors until you feel comfortable running mentor sessions on your own.
Do I book my own appointments?
No. We book them for you based on your predetermined availability.
Can I actively solicit business opportunities when mentoring?
No. The member must approach you with any given business opportunity.
What sectors does the EC focus accelerators on?
Health Care, Digital Media & Entertainment, Technology, Social Enterprise.
How much funding are EC incubating companies seeking?
EC companies are generally seeking seed stage funding for proof-of-concept through Venture Capital investment of $2MM+ depending on the business and its needs. Many EC incubating companies launch with initial rounds of funding between $500K to $1MM.
Are there resources for Angel Investors?
Many of the programs that are relevant to entrepreneurs seeking investment are relevant to angels looking to invest. We also have investor panel discussions and educational programming for angel investors looking to back early stage companies.
How do I contact incubating companies that might be interesting to me for investment?
Call us or contact the center or incubating company through the website.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR AN ACCELERATOR?

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF WORKING OUT OF THE EC?
Two words. Idea Flow. We usually have over 20 companies working out of the center at any given time. They are often working through many of the same problems and overcoming the same obstacles. When companies are working from within the center, they are able to crowd source common problems and quickly deal with questions that might otherwise take days or weeks to solve. Additionally, with open access to all mentors, EC staff, and the entrepreneurs, there is an extreme amount of resources and information to help a company launch.
WHAT RESOURCES AND AMENITIES ARE PROVIDED WITH THE EC COWORKING SPACE?
The EC provides access to workspace Monday through Friday 8am-5pm which includes a variety of seating, standup desks, meeting rooms, internet, printing and more! The space is designed with the resources needed to launch a business.
CAN I GET A DESK SPACE AT THE EC?
Yes, if you are a member. Desks are individually reserved. One person per desk. If you are with a group, you may reserve a group of desks, per availability. We do not have office space available at this time. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in a reserved desk space.
HOW DO I HOST AN EVENT AT THE EC?
You must be a member or partner in order to host an event at the EC. Please fill out this form for more information. The price of the room depends on the room you choose. Rooms are based upon availability.
